I am a writer and editor looking at health, biology, self, and society.
Before I started writing, I spent six years earning advanced degrees in the social sciences. I now live with my partner, Ben, and our daughter, Poppy, in the Sonoran desert of Tucson, Arizona, on Tohono O'odham land.
My memoir (in progress) will address reproductive choices I made that changed my life forever. Stitching together my shattered political identity after an abortion, I learned that paradox weaves the world around us. I had to accept that to move on from my losses, I'd need to let go of radical independence and create a future-in-relation.
